Sum of 1 term = First term = ap²+bp

= a+b

Sum of two terms = a×2²+b×2 = 4a+2b

Sum of two terms = First term + Second term

4a+2b = a+b+ Second term

Second term = 3a+b

Therefore,

common difference = Second term - First term

d = 3a+b-a-b = 2a
