Let Terms of AP be a-d,a and a+d

We are given, a -d + a + a + d = 36
                           3a = 36
                so,   a = 12

But S3 = 36

so, 3/2[2a + 11d] = 36
     3[2a + 11d] = 72
        so, 2a + 11d = 24

By putting a = 12

         2(12) + 11d = 24
          so, 11d = 24 - 24
         so, d = 0 

Hence, middle term = a = 12
