For AP:-

Three term is a-d,a ,a+d

now

a+d+a+a-d=-3

3a=-3

a=-1

Now

(a-d)×(a+d)×a=8

(a^2-b^2)×a=8

(-1)^2×b^2×(-1)=8

b=

2 \sqrt{2}

For GP:-

Three terms are

a, ar, a/r

a+ar+a/r=-3

a(1+r+r^2/r)=-3

(1+r+r^2)/r=-3..eq 1

And their product

a×ar×a/r=8.

a^3=8

a=

2 \sqrt{2}

put the value of a in eq 1

Hope it helps u
