In linear equation of two variables , two variables are taken . Let one of the numbers be x and the other be y .y

Now , we have two variables ,i.e., x and y .

According to the question , both the numbers are supplementary . So , there sum will be 180°.

In other words , x + y = 180°.

So the required equation is x + y = 180° .

Well this question has been already answered but I tried to explain you how it came . Hope this helped . Thanks for asking !!!
