If two number are consecutive, then one of them will be even and one of them will be odd.

Can the sum of an even and an odd be an even number ?

a big NO.

and, 290 is even.


Thus, it is not possible.

here is ua answer:

let the one number be x and other be x+1.

now,

x+x+1=290

2x+1=290

2x=290-1

2x=289

x=289/2

x=144.5

x+1=145.5
