let the no. be (x) and (8+x)
when,
x+8+x=30
2x+ 8=30
2x=30-8
x=22/2
x=11
8+x=11+8=19
then their product will be ,
19×11=209

Answer:

Numbers are 19 and 11.

Product is 209.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the two numbers be x and y respectively.

According to the question ;

x + y = 30   ....(i)

x - y = 8    .... (ii)

Adding equation (i) and (ii),

⇒ x + y + x - y = 30 + 8

⇒ 2x = 38

⇒ x = \dfrac{38}{2}

⇒ x = 19

Now, substituting the value of x in equation (i), we get ;

x + y = 6

⇒ 19 + y = 30

⇒ y = 30 - 19

⇒ y = 11

Hence, the required numbers are 19 and 11 respectively.

Their product = 19 * 11 = 209

Therefore, the answer is 209.
