if sum of two numbers is 30 and two times one number is three times the other then find the number

let the numbers be a x and y

then ,according to question,
     x+y=30..................{1}
     2x=3y....................{2}

from {1},
              x=30-y....................{3}
putting the value of x in {2} we get

2x=3y
2{30-y}=3y
60-2y=3y
60=5y
y=60/5
y=12
putting the value of y in {3} we get
x=30-y
x=30-12
x=18

hence the two no .are 18 and 12

Given :- Let the numbers be x and y.
then,
 x + y = 30
2x = 3y 
x = 3y/2

To find  :- X and Y 

Solution :- $y+ \frac{3y}{2} = 30$
$\frac{2y+3y}{2} =30$
$\frac{5y}{2} =30$
5y=60
y=12 .
then x = 3y/2
  = 36/2
  = 18 .

Hence ,
X = 18 
Y = 12
