Explanation:
The Sun emits a wider range of wavelengths than a bulb, but the principle is the same. We can detect (and sometimes photograph) the output of the Sun at all manner of wavelengths ultraviolet, visible, radio, X-ray etc and all of these photons have to pass through a shed-load of vacuum to get to us.
