If swami Vivekananda sees India today ,what will he be proud of and what will he be ashamed of
Good morning everyone present; I am going to speak on 'If swami Vivekananda sees India today ,what will he be proud of and what will he be ashamed of .'
Well, If Swami Vivekananda saw India today, he would have mixed feelings of joy and sorrows. Swami Vivekananda had a vision of India that would be advanced spiritually, technologically, scientifically, politically, educationally, and in all other areas.
If he saw India today, he would be happy at the advancements India has made in many spheres. He would be proud of the fact that India is the fastest progressing and developing economy. He would be proud at the scientists working at ISRO and DRDO. He would also be proud of the infrastructure being developed at fast rate. He would take immense pleasure at the eradication of many social problems such as untouchability, child-marriage, casteism, poverty, etc.
However, he would also be sad to see the much grown materialism across the nation. His heart would pain to see his beloved motherland still being afflicted with the problems of corruption, mismanagement, nepotism, poverty, unemployment, deforestation, pollution, unplanned urbanization and industrialization.
The thing that would pain him the most would be the degradation of spiritual and moral values. Swami Vivekananda wanted Indians to be exceedingly spiritual and enlightened. It would pain his heart to see the youth groveling in the mire of carnal pleasures and sensuality. He would be distressed to see the youth wasting their energies in drug, mobiles, and many other useless addictions.
Let’s try our best to make Swami Vivekananda’s visions reality. That would be a true tribute to his great soul.
