Answer:

Kannada is inclined towards Telugu is just a misconception. Kannada and Tamil share a lot more common things than Kannada and Telugu. There is a reason why some people feel Telugu and Kannada are similar it is because of vowel ending words in Telugu and Kannada. But however here are some examples to prove that it is not true.

The negating forms in Kannada and Tamil are similar:

Illa and alla are used in Kannada to say no and not.

Illai is used in Tamil to say no and not.

illathe/illade are used for the word without.

But different words are used in Telugu to indicate no and not.

You can use the above words in hundreds of sentences to indicate the negation.

A lot more common words:

The following are some of the words that are similar and have same meaning in Tamil and Kannada but a different word is used in Telugu.

Odu (run)

Kal/Kallu (stone)

Pul/hullu (grass)

Vittu/Bittu (leave)

Vaay/Baayi (mouth)

Kannada and Tamil share a lot more common things than Kannada and Telugu. There is a reason why some people feel Telugu and Kannada are similar it is because of vowel ending words in Telugu and Kannada. But however here are some examples to prove that it is not true.

The negating forms in Kannada and Tamil are similar:

➜ Illa and alla are used in Kannada to say no and not.

➜ Illathe/illade are used for the word without.

But different words are used in Telugu to indicate no and not.

You can use the above words in hundreds of sentences to indicate the negation.

➜ Kai (hand)

➜ Kodu (give)

➜ Ketta (bad)

➜ Nillu (stop)

➜ Naayi (dog)

➜ Kaadu (forest) etc.

There are many such words that are common to Kannada and Tamil but are different in Telugu.

Tamil: naan vanden (I came)

Telugu: nenu vachenu (I came)

Kannada: Avanu Baruvanu (he will come)

Tamil: Avan Varuvaan(he will come)

It looks like Kannada and Tamil tenses are like Rhyming words but Telugu seems to be different.

\small\bold\green{Older\:forms:}

If you consider older forms of Kannada and Tamil you will find even more similarities.

Kaadhalu is one of the words used for love in Kannada which is similar to Kaadhal of Tamil.

➤ In Tamil aranmanai is the word used for palace. In Kannada the word mane denotes house.

➤ So after all these things we can safely conclude Kannada and Tamil are more similar to each other than Telugu.

➤ This doesn't mean that Telugu does not share any similarities with Kannada and Tamil. It does share similarities but lesser in number when compared to Kannada and Tamil.
