tan theta=3/4

or,cot theta=1/tan theta=1/3/4=4/3

or,cot^2theta=16/9

Now, sin theta=(1/cosec^2 theta)^1/2

=[1/(1+cot^2 theta)]^1/2

So,sin theta=[1/(1+16/9)]^1/2

=[1/(16+9)/9]^1/2

=(9/25)^1/2

QUESTION :

If tanθ =3/4 , find the values of secθ and cosθ

Given :

tanθ =¾

By using trignometry identity :

1+tan²θ = sec²θ

1 + (¾)² = sec²θ

1 + 9/16 = sec²θ

(16+9)/16 = sec²θ

25/16 = sec²θ

secθ = √ 25/16

secθ = 5/4
