Solution

Given :-

  • tan A =1/2 and tan B=1\3,

Find :-

  • Value of ( A + B)

Explanation

Using Formula

tan ( A + B) = (tan A + tan B )/(1 - tan A tan B)

tan 45° = 1

So, keep above Values

==> tan ( A + B) = (1/2 + 1/3)/(1 - 1/2 * 1/3)

==> tan ( A + B) = [(3+2)/2*3] / (6-1)/6

==> tan ( A + B) = 5/6 * 6/5

==> tan ( A + B) = 5/5

==> tan ( A + B) = 1

==>tan ( A + B ) = tan 45°

==> ( A + B) = 45°

Or,

==> tan ( A + B) = π/4

Hence

  • Value of ( A + B) = 45° Or, π/4
