tan a = 5/12
so, let perpendicular (p) be 5x and base (b ) be 12x
By using Pythagoras theorem we can find the hypotenuse (h )
h= √ 5x^2 + 12x^2
= √ 25x^2 + 144x^2
= √ 169x^2
= 13x

sin a = p/h = 5x/13 x= 5/13
cos a = b/h = 12x /13x = 12/13
sec a = h/b = 13x/12x = 13/12

According to the question,
( sina + cos a )sec a
= (5/13 +12/13 )13/12
= 17/13 × 13/12
= 17 /12
