- tanθ=l−secθ
- squaring on both sides, we get,
- tan2θ=(l−secθ)2
- sec2θ−1=l2+sec2θ−2lsecθ
- l2−2lsecθ=−1
- l2+1=2lsecθ
- ⇒secθ=2ll2+1
