tan θ + sec θ = 2/3 ... (1)
In trigonometry,
sec²θ - tan²θ = 1
(sec θ - tan θ)(sec θ + tan θ ) = 1 [ a² - b² = (a+b)(a-b) ]
(secθ - tanθ) * 2/3 = 1
sec θ - tan θ = 3/2 .... (2)
adding (1) and (2),
we get :
2sec θ = 2/3 + 3/2
sec θ = 13/12
