The value of  \cot \alpha=\frac{15}{17}.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : If  \tan\theta=\frac{15}{17} and \theta+\alpha=90.

To find : The value of \cot\alpha ?

Solution :

We have given, \tan\theta=\frac{15}{17}

\theta+\alpha=90

Take \alpha to one side,

\alpha=90-\theta

Taking cot both side,

\cot \alpha=\cot (90-\theta)

Using trigonometric property,  \cot (90-\theta)=\tan \theta

\cot \alpha=\tan \theta

\cot \alpha=\frac{15}{17}

Therefore, the value of \cot \alpha=\frac{15}{17}.
