if tan theta =4/3 , find the value of sin theta+ cos theta (both sin theta+ cos theta are positive)​

Answer:

tan theta = 4/3

=> p / b = 4/3

let , p = 4 units & b = 3 units

p² + b² = h²

=> 4² + 3² = h²

=> 16 + 9 = h²

=> h² = 25

=> h = 5 units

therefore , sin theta = p / h = 4 / 5

cos theta = b / h = 3 / 5

sin theta + cos theta = ( 4 / 5 ) + ( 3 / 5 )

= 7 / 5

p denotes perpendicular

b denotes base
