Solution

→ tan∅ + cot∅ = 2

→ tan∅ + 1/tan∅ = 2

→ (tan²∅ + 1)/tan∅ = 2

→ tan²∅ - 2 tan∅ + 1 = 0

→ tan∅ = 1

Hence value of ∅ is 45°.

→ tan⁴∅ + cot⁴∅ = 2

→ tan⁴∅ + 1/tan⁴∅ = 2

→ (tan 45°)⁴ + 1/(tan 45°)⁴ = 2

→ 1⁴ + 1/1⁴ = 2

→ 2 = 2

Hence Proved
