Tan theta = perpendicular /base

i.e ; perpendicular = a

base = b

By using pythagoras theorem:

 {hypotenuse}^{2}  =  {perpendicular}^{2}  +  {base}^{2}

Hypotenuse = a+b

Hence, sec theta = hypotenuse/perpendicular

= a+b / b

Yes, your answer is correct.
