If tan theta =root 3 and sin theta dash = 1/2 find the value of cos(theta + theta dash)

tan θ= √3

therefore,

θ=60°

sin θ'= 1/2

therefore,

θ'=30°

θ+θ'= 60+30= 90°

cos 90° = 0

Explanation

tan (@) = √3 = tan 60°

so, @=60°

and

sin (@')= 1/2 = sin 30°

=> @'= 30°

now the value of cos(@+@')

= cos (60°+30°)

= cos 90°

= 0 (answer)
