tan theta+ sec theta= p (Given)

Now,

tan theta = p- sec theta ......................................(1)

ATQ ( According to Question),

Tan theta- sec theta =?

Tan theta- sec theta = {(p)- sec theta} - sec theta--------------------------------( From (1)  )

Tan theta- sec theta = (tan theta + sec theta) - 2 sec theta

Tan theta- sec theta = (sin theta/ cos theta + 1/cos theta) - 2 sec theta------( because tan theta= sin       theta/ cos theta and sec theta= 1/ cos theta)

Tan theta- sec theta =sin theta + 1/ cos theta - 2 sec theta

Tan theta- sec theta =sin theta + 1-2/ sec theta

Tan theta- sec theta =sin theta-1/ sec theta

HOPE IT HELPS YOU!!!!
