We have ,

sec \: x + tan {}^{3} x \: cosec \: x

sec \: x \: ( \frac{sec \: x + tan {}^{2}x \: cosec \: x }{sec \: x} )

sec \: x(1 + tan {}^{3} x .\frac{cosec \: x}{sin \: x} )

sec \: x(1 + tan {}^{3} x \:  \times cot \: x)

 \sqrt{1 + tan {}^{2} x} (1 + tan \: {}^{2}  x)

(1  +  \: tan {}^{2} x \: ) \frac{3}{2}

(1 + (1 - a {}^{2})) \frac{3}{2}

(2 - a {}^{2} ) \frac{3}{2}

The above result holds true for all the values of a.
