Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

if tan x is equal to b by a then find the value of under root a + b by a - b + under root a minus b by a + b

ANSWER

So we have

  tan x = b/a

  √a + b /a-b + √a – b /a + b = a + b + a – b /√(a – b)(a + b)

                                               = 2 a / √a^2 – b^2

                                               = 2 / √a^2 – b^2 / a

                                               = 2/√a^2 – b^2 /a^2

                                              = 2/ √1 – (b/a)^2

                                               = 2 / √1 – tan^2 x

                                             =  2 cos x / √cos^2 x – sin^2 x

                                               = 2 cos x /√cos2x
