Step-by-step explanation:

tan A = perpendicular/base = 3/4

hypotenuse = ?

then,

by Pythagoras formula,

(H)2 = (P)2 + ( B)2

(H)2 = (3)2 + (4)2

(H)2 = 9 +16 = 25

H = 5

sin A = P/H = 3/5

cos A = B/H = 4/5

tan A = 3/4

side opposite to A/ side adjacent to A = 3/4

BC/AB = 3/4

let the side of triangle be 3k and 4k.

∆ABC is right angled triangle.

by Pythagoras theorem,

AC² = AB² + BC²

AC = √AB² + BC²

AC = √4² + 3²

AC = √16 + 9

AC = √25

AC = 5 cm

sin A = side opposite to angle A/ hypothenuse

= BC/AC

= 3k/5k

= 3/5

cos A = side adjacent to angle A/ hypothenuse

= AB/AC

= 4k/5k

= 4/5
