If tanA+cotA=77 then find the value of tan^2A +cot^2A

tanA + cotA = 77

Squaring both sides,

tan^2A + cot^2A + 2tanAcotA = (77)^2

tan^2A + cot^2A + 2(1) = 5929 (--because tanA*cotA = 1)

tan^2A + cot^2A = 5929 - 2 = 5927
