Given tan A = cot B we know that cot is a reciprocal of tan and tan 45° = 1 then cot 45° is also 1 therefore tan 45° = cot 45° then it tells that A = 45° and B is also 45 ° therefore A+B= 90°

tan A = cot B (given)

tan A = tan (90-B)

A= 90-B
A+B =0
