Correct Question:

If tan A = cot B then prove that A + B = 90°.

Solution:

Given:

=> tan A = cot B

To Prove:

=> A + B = 90°

So,

=> tan A = cot B      ..........(1)

We can write cot B = tan(90° - B).

Now, put tan(90° - B) in place of cot B in Eq (1). we get,

=> tan A = tan (90° - B)

=> A = 90° - B

=> A + B = 90°

Hence Proved!!!
