  • With increase in temperature, the area of the conductor of the wire also increases due to the expansion theory that is linear or volumetric expansion.
  • Since the expansion happens the area increases and area affects the resistivity of the wire being proportional inversely.
  • Hence the law is true only when the temperature is constant.
