If temperature of water is lowered from 4°Cto 3°C, What happens to its volume?

volume Increases....

Water shows abnormal behaviour as its density is maximum at 4oC. When the temperature is increased or decreased from 4oC, its density decreases. On cooling from 4oC, density of water reduces and volume increases, opposite to other liquids.
