Explanation:

2H₂ + O₂ ------> 2 H₂O (balanced eq.)

For 2 volumes of H₂ only 1 voume of O₂ is required to create 10 volumes of H₂O

∴10 volumes of H₂ will completely react with 5 volumes of O₂ creating 10 volumes of H₂O leaving behind an excess of 5 volumes of O₂

∴5 volumes of O₂ will be unreacted

∴10 volumes of water vapour is created
