• x² + 1/x² = ?.

Explanation:-

we know,

( a + b ) ² = a² + b² +2ab .

So,

(x + 1/x )² = ( x² + 1/x² + 2{x (1/x)}

=> (x + 1/x )² = ( x² + 1/x² + 2)

keep value by (1) .

=> (6)² - 2 = (x² +1/x² )

=> (x² +1/x² ) = 36 - 2

=>(x² + 1/x² ) = 34 .
