To Find:

Solution:

A cube consists of 6 faces.

The area of each face = side x side

So, the total surface area of a cube = 6 x side x side

Let a be the length of the given cube

∴ Surface area of a cube = 6a²

a = 2 cm (Given)

⇒ Surface area of cube = 6 x 2² = (6 x 4) = 24 cm²

Hence, the surface area of the given cube is 24cm².
