3rd term = 39
4th term =
12:8::a:39
(exterior) 12×39::a×8 (Interior)
[CROSS MULTIPLICATION]
39×8 :: 12x
=312::12x
x= 312÷12
x= 26
Hence, the 4th term is 26 .
