a3=a+(3-1) d=a+2d=7_____1

a6=a+(6-1) d=a+5d=13______2

solving 1 and 2

a+2d=7

a+5d=13

______

-3d=-6

d=6/3

d=2

putting value of d in 1

a+2*2=7

a+4=7

a=7-4

a=3.
