If the 9th term of an A.P. is zero then show that the 29th term is twice the 19th term.​

Answer:

a + (n - 1)d =   an

a + (9-1)d = a9

a + 8d = 0

a = -8d

a29 = a + (29-1)d

a29 = -8d + 28d = 20d

a19= a + (19-1)d

a19 = -8d + 18d = 10d

so, a29 = 20d which is twice of a19 which is 10d.
