Given

❒ Acceleration due to gravity = 10 m/s²

❒ Mass of body = 4 kg

❒ Height = 3 m

To find

❍ Potential energy of body.

Solution

Now we have :

⇴ Gravitational acceleration (g) = 10 m/s²

⇴ Mass (M) = 4 kg

⇴ Height (h) = 3 m

We know the formula :

Potential energy (P.E.) = m * g * h

Substituting values,

➜ Potential energy = 4 * 10 * 3

➜ Potential energy = 40 * 3

Potential energy = 120 J

➜ Potential energy = (120/1000) kJ

Potential energy = 0.12 KJ

Therefore, potential energy of body is 120 Joules or 0.12 kilojoules.

  • Acceleration due to the gravity (g) = 10 m/s²

  • Mass (m) = 1 kg

  • Height (h) = 3 m

Formula:-

To Find:-

Potential Energy = ?

Step By step:

P.E. = 4 × 10 × 3

 \implies \huge\underline\pink{\boxed{\sf{120\: j}}}

Thus,

The potential Energy of the body is 120 joules.
