if the acceleration during the first part of the journey of the lift is 'a' and deceleration for the second part is 2a, the ratio of the height covered in the first part to that in the second part of the journey is???
(a) 1:1 (b) 1:2 (c) 1:3 (d) 2:1

it is 2:1

because the lift will take more time in the first part of motion than in the second part . so distance covered will also be more in first part. the correct answer is 2:1 not 1:2
