ocean water freezes just like freshwater, but at lower temperature . Fresh water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit but sea water freezes at 28.4 degree Fahrenheit ,because of salt in water.When seawater freezes,however, the ice contain very little salt because only the water part freezes.
