if the altitude oh 2 similar triangles is in the 2:3 what is the ratio of their areas

area =  \frac{1}{2} b \times h

now...h1:h2=2:3. and b1 =b2

so...

 \frac{a1}{a2}  =  \frac{ \frac{1}{2}  \times b1 \times h1}{ \frac{1}{2} \times b2 \times h2 }  \\  =  >  \frac{a1}{a2}  =  \frac{b1}{b1}  \times  \frac{2}{3}  \\  =  >  \frac{a1}{a2}  =  \frac{2}{3}

a1:a2=2:3
