Solution :
Let H , h are altitudes of two triangles
whose areas are A1 , A2 respectively,
H = 5 cm , h = 3.5 cm ,
A1 = 100 cm² , A2 = ?
We know that ,
( H/h )² = A1/A2
=> ( 5/3.5 ) = 100/A2
=> A2 = ( 100 × 3.5 )/5
=> A2 = 100 × 0.7
=>A2 = 70 cm²
Therefore ,
Area of second triangle = 70 cm²
