A=P(1+R100)t

P = 10800, R =1212% and t = 3 years

So, A=10800(1+25200)3

=10800(1+18)3

=10800(98)3

=10800×98×98×98=15377.34

So, Interest =A–P

=15377.54-10800=4577.34

QUESTION

If the amount after 3 years at the rate of 25 upon 2 per annum compounded anually is ₹10935,find the principal

TOPIC => COMPOUND INTEREST

SOLUTION

GIVEN =>

COMPOUND INTEREST=Rs 10935

Time=3years

RATE= \frac{25} {2}

FORMULA USED

COMPOUND INTEREST=A-P

A. IS AMOUNT

P IS PRINCIPAL

SO

c.i = p {(1 + \frac{r}{100}) }^{3} + p

therefore

10935 = p(1 + ({1 + \frac{r}{100} )}^{3} )

10935 = p(1 + ( {1 + \frac{25}{100×2}) }^{3}

10935 = p(1 + ( \frac{1}{8} \times \frac{1}{8} \times \frac{1}{8} ))

10935 = p(1 + \frac{1}{512} )

p = \frac{513}{512} \times 10935

p =\frac{5,609,655}{512}

principal=rs 10,956.3574
