As we already know that loudness is directly proportional to amplitude and also that loudness equals the square of amplitude. This means depending on the amplitude loudness will be increased if amplitude increases and vie versa.
Now if the amplitude is increased three times, the loudness will also be increased. It will increase nine times than amplitude.
