Step-by-step explanation:

let, the tangent be TP and TQ.

Given :- the radius (OP) = 5cm.

the angle b/w tangents(angle PTQ)=60°

Construction:- draw the angle bisector of PTQ

named OT. i.e, PTO=30°

Solution:- In triangle,PTO,

Sin30° =P/h

1/2 = P/h

1/2. = OP/h [ since ,P=radius.]

1/2. = 5/h

h= 5×2 =10 cm.

since, h = TP =10cm.

therefore, TQ =10cm. [tangents are equal].

hence , length of tangent is 10cm.
