x-y=30------(2) (Given)

=) x=30+y-------(3)

Putting eq(3) in eq(1)

=) (30+y)+y+40=180

=) 2y+70=180

=) y=110/2

=) y=55

Putting y=55 in eq(3)

=)x=30+55

=)x=85
