for example:-

Q)  if the angle of incidence is 30 and angle of deviation is 43 then what is a

angle of emergence

A)  Angle of prism=sum of angle of refractions angle of deviation=incident angle+emergent angle-prism angle. 43=30+emergent angle-prism angle. 43-30=13=emergent angle -prism angle. Prism angle=emergent angle-13. So 43=30+emergent angle+emergent angle-13. 43-30+13=2(emergent angle). Therefore,26=2(emergent angle) emergent angle=26÷2=13 so answer is 13.
