Answer:  90 degree

Explanation:

According to the first law of reflection of light, if the angle of incidence is 45 degree then the angle between reflected ray and the incident ray will be 90 degree.

Because Angle of incidence = Angle of reflection

So, Angle between them = Angle of incidence + Angle of reflection

                                          = 45 + 45

                                          = 90 degree

First law of reflection:

The first law of reflection stated that, Angle formed by incident ray on the normal point of incident is equal to the angle formed after the reflection of incident ray from surface.

i.e. ∠i = ∠r

Given:

The angle of incidence=45°

To find:

The angle between reflected and incident ray.

Solution:

We can find the solution by following the given steps-

We know that as per the Law of Reflection, the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.

So, the made by the reflected ray and the normal/ plane is also 45°.

Now, the angle between the incident ray and the reflected ray= angle of incidence+ angle of reflection

=45°+45°

=90°

So, both the rays are perpendicular to each other.

Therefore, the angle between the reflected ray & the incident ray is 90°.
