If the angle of incidence is equal to 45 degrees and refractive index of first medium is equal to 1 and the refractive index of second medium is equals to 1/✓2 then the angle of incidence is

n1 sin(i) = n2 sin (r)

1* sin 45 = 1/root2 * sin(r)

1/root2 = 1/ root 2 * sin(r)

i.e. sin r= 1

Or r= 90degrees.
