The value of x is 9°

Given:

4x+4 and 6x-4 are complementary angles

To find:

The value of x

Solution:

Complementary angles:

If the sum of the given angles is 90° then the given angles are said be complementary angles

Example: (45°, 45°) (60°, 30°) (50°, 40°) etc.

If (4x+4) and (6x-4) are complementary angles then sum of (4x+4) and (6x-4) must be equal to 90°

=> (4x+4) + (6x-4) = 90°

=> 10x = 90°

=> x = 9°

Therefore, The value of x is 9°
