NOTE:-

When you apply a limit and if it is in form of 0/0 or infinity/infinity you can use L'Hospital rule

L'HOSPITAL RULE:-

  • When you face a situation of 0/0 or infinity/infinity, differentiate the numerator and denominator and evaluate the limit
  • If the problem still shows as 0/0 or infinity/infinity then differentiate till you get a determinate form

SOLUTION :-

Lim \:  n-->  \infty  \:  \frac{1 + 2 + 3 + ....n}{ {n}^{2}  + 100} \\  \\

differentiating w.r.t on numerator and denominator , we get

Lim n-->  \frac{1}{2n}  \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{ \infty }  \\  \\  = 0
