If the are of a rectangle is 300cm and it's length: breadth = 4:3, find it's (i) perimeter (ii) the length of its diagonal​

perimeter= 70 cm and diagonal=25 cm

Step-by-step explanation

l/b= 4/3

l= 4x

b= 3x

l×b = 300

3x×4x = 300

12x²= 300

x²= 25

x= 5

∴ l=20 cm and b= 15 cm

perimeter = 2(l+b)

= 2(35)

=70 cm

length of the diagonal can be found using pythogoras theorem

20² + 15² = diagonal²

400+225 = 625

√625 = 25
